Our Story
The Balderston Auto Group was built on family, hard work, and the belief that doing what’s right always leads the way. Bob Balderston — born in Manhattan, Kansas and raised in Kansas City at 55th and Lydia — learned the value of commitment early, starting work at age 13. He attended Paseo High School and later Kansas State College of Pittsburg, then began his career with Ford Motor Company in 1969 before purchasing Blue Springs Ford in 1975. From this small dealership, the group has grown into a trusted automotive family serving the Kansas City area for generations.
A Family-Led Legacy
In 1986, Bob married Kris, and together they raised three children: Blaine, Karanne, and McCall. Over the years, the business expanded to include Lee’s Summit Honda, Lee’s Summit Subaru, and Smithville Ford. Today, the Balderston children continue the family tradition, working alongside a dedicated team committed to putting people first.
